Presentation this Thursday 11 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 7
This Thursday at a local (very rural)
chess tournament, I hope to do a brief
presentation on pq2.

Maybe that will attract some new fans.

The professor running the chess tournament
said that it would be fine for me to do
a little presentation and I hope that
it goes well.

I have the component AV cables for the psp
but I'm not sure if it's fully supported
by the projection system that the UW
system has.

Adri,

The presentation went quite while.

It was a small turn-out since some of
the chess contestants had to leave right
after the tournament. There was a math
professor who was very intrigued by
the presentation and raised his eyebrows
when I mentioned that there were police
operatives and detectives which came into
play on certain puzzles.

There are also some students from the
local high school in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin
whom I have introduced to the game and who
might become players (time-permitting, of
course).

Take care,

Adam

I'm glad your presentation went well. Hopefully, they'll became new PQ2 players and will enlarge this huge community (specially the mathmatician; they usually have good spacial ideas).

And how did the chess contest go? Were you playing or just organizing?

I guess you'll be a hard opponent to play with.

Adri,

I was participating in the tournament as
a contestant. I believe that I came in
4th place.

I had a very challenging match with an opponent
from Spooner, Wisconsin (who ended up winning
first place) in which I negligently allowed
him to advance one of his pawns too far into
my territory.

Once in a while, I play a bit of chess and
scrabble on pogo.com which is enjoyable.

If I can pick up some Spanish over the next few
months, perhaps you and I can have a Scrabble
match online using only Spanish words. That would
be a fun way to learn the language.
