Umbilical cord broken? 11 Years ago Karma: 7
Hi,

We're having some difficulty establishing
connection with the server for pq2 right
now.

Are any others experiencing similar difficulty?

We may be able to download data for user puzzles
but seem unable to upload any data, at least
according to Zach's analysis.

We have a new router (D-Link) but that seems
to provide a solid Internet connection for
other devices at this point.

Thanks,

Adam

Yes! Me too! I thought that I had yet another problem with my profile, man!! So glad I read you Adam. I had already created (yet) another profile, freshly-fresh, but the error remained this here, look:

And now looking at the picture I realize I wasted more than half an hour going back and forth trying to guess what file of my profile could be damaged. But it's the strangest coincidence for me because I really had some damaged files on the memory stick after having used it to copy the "cheating" plugins.
After deleting everything I can't even get new puzzles or anything. All Network-related things fail.
Let's wait and see what happens... thanks for your prompt input, this has also happened in the past, just check the forum posts for dates and details.

Daniel,

Good. It's nice to know that I'm not
the only one is this boat.

The issues began late last night (early
morning here) around 3 am.

We weren't sure about our new router.
A D-link is replacing a Belkin router
the latter device working rather horribly
with Nintendo products apparently.

As far as I remember, this has happened only
one other time since March of this year
when I tried re-submitting some weekly
test scores that failed for around 1 1/2
days, if I remember correctly.

Daniel,

I am still getting the same error
screen that you have pictured there.

However, it does appear possible to
download puzzles from the PQ2 server.
I would presume that these are puzzles
which were created and posted prior to
the malfunction with the server which
receives data from the psp consoles.

Adam, that is the case. In the meantime I restored my Dani profile from backup and downloaded your #17858 vv(201)snake-3 puzzle which was the last one on my list. Puzzle downloading works, network updates don't. They must be changing things, hopefully for the best.

Daniel,

I wonder if there is any posting of
scheduled "down-time" for server
upgrades at the nowpro website.

Often, companies will use Sunday time
to do that. In the library system,
they do scheduled maintenance to avoid
servers crashing and other mishaps.

Same error for me. At least now I know I'm not the only one.

I talked to Boxy and he told me he had called PQ staff. There was a problem similar to this few months ago and after phoning they could solve the problem. But this time he was told it was going to take more time than in the former error. It seems that the problem is bigger than they thought at a first instance and it'll take them like one or two days more to fix it.

When I saw the error I re-checked also the router (it's quite new), then analized the MemoryStick with the anti-virus, then tried with another profile, but none of them would work.

So we can only wait, and maybe download some more puzzles which we haven't yet because we didn't want to or didn't have time.

And by the time it's fixed I'll publish a new series of highly difficult puzzles (at least to achieve 100%)

Adri

I confirm.

Let's see if this was about any kind of update/change of some kind.
