Firefox,

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date
about the current scores. We have
a phenomenal player to the south
of us apparently.

I didn't realize how the google
translator works since I've never
used it before.

However, Google's machine made one
slight error of translation: it's the
difference between the word "narrowly"
and "nearly." CES+ came just under the
mark of Bernie's record. Therefore,
he "nearly" defeated Bernie's current
world record. In French, they have the
expression "faillir de" which means
just misses the mark or comes just shy
of.

Wow, I'm very pleased. For once, a librarian
outperforms Google. That doesn't happen
very often. We librarians get some real
competition from Google's search engine.
We depend upon it ourselves.

Once I had a patron come into the library
and give me a general description of the
plot of a movie. I could envisage some of
the film because I had seen it about 3
years prior. However, the exact name of
the film just escaped me. I was almost faster
than Google but not quite. When I typed in
the keywords from the plot description, sure
enough, Google produced the results "Minority
Report" and the patron got his movie.

Sorry for the digression of topic. Back to
the 100-puzzle test,

Adam

Wow, we have one new competitor; very good competitor he seems.

I didn't expect someone out of the forum (or is he "hidden" in?) to oust us everybody but Bernie. I must recognize he did a great job, also for the weekly test, in which, as Dani said, I have no idea where those points above he and me came from.

Congratulations for CES+.

Adri

- Would make sense if a rich says "I'd like to be rich"? - Clearly no - And what about "I'd like to be rich forever"? - Yes, that would make sense - Indeed, my friend, we don't just want the good things, but we want them forever

A new kid on the block, as they say; welcome CES+ - I know you're reading this, don't even need to check the site's logs!

Congratulations for doing 57547 on the 100 puzzle test, just 10 points under 57557 - a cool prime number! (don't ask me how I know this) Now that would have been awesome!

Adam, if you ever want to know the name of a movie that you can just give some vague information about, try yahoo answers. I did once and got the right answer in a jiffy. answers.yahoo.com/

Cheers!
