In case you haven't heard, Little Big Planet (aka LBP) is coming out for the PS3 soon. I have been able to play the beta recently, and while there are some bugs/glitches to be worked out, it has the potential to be an excellent game. There is a "story" mode, but what's going to keep the game going strong is the same thing that keeps me playing PQ2 - user created levels.

There are numerous user created levels already, some themed after other games or movies, and some just new creations. I think LBP comes out toward the end of this month (at least in the US), so for those of you who have PS3's, take a look at this one and see if it's something you'd like.

I know that you guys have come up with some creative levels on PQ2, and I would love to see what you would come up with for LBP

Is the PS3 version different from the PSP version?

Could you explain about what the game is.

I believe the PS3 and PSP versions are different, although I haven't ever played the PSP version. As far as the core gameplay, it's a 2.5ish-D platformer. There are three planes from front to back that you can switch to, that's what puts it somewhere between 2D and 3D.

But what makes the game amazing is the user contriubted levels. Especially in LBP2 for the PS3. It's amazing the tools you can use to create levels in that game. People have developed RPG's, Tower Defense games, retro-arcade games, and so many other cool levels.

On a related topic, if you had a PSN account (either on your PS3 or PSP) prior to the whole PSN hacking fiasco, you can get two free games for both the PS3 and the PSP. I believe LBP is one of the choices for both platforms. I highly recommend it if you don't already have it. *Note that the games will not be available until the PSN store is back online, which should be soon.

Also, if you want to learn more about it, there are plenty of videos on youtube.
